MAD WITH JESUS🔥

John Calvin; ‘in knowing God each of us also knows himself.’ Looking at Matthew 16:13-17, we see Jesus asking the disciples who people said He was. Peter said He is the Mesiah, the son of the living God and in turn Jesus told him who he(Peter) was. Verse 17 I’ve been in a personality crisis before and I didn’t even realize it had to be a thing but I now realize that I need to know who I am to really do stuff, be stuff in life. Now how do I do that? I had to learn different things, it’s been a journey, I’m still on it but it became so much easier when I realized that I had to go back to my source to find myself. What do you think it means when scripture says ‘we are made in His image and likeness’? Have you looked at a picture of yourself before or seen your reflection in a mirror? The reflection you’re seeing is an image of you, it’s a copy of you. In the same vein, we’re copies of God. The scripture records that Jesus got away from the crowd and disconnected to have authentic fellowship with Abba. While in order to edify our spirits we could listen to gospel music, read christian articles……….it should not be our primary source to draw from His throne of grace neither should it be our primary source to gain knowledge of Him or to know Him. When we follow the footsteps of Jesus in this particular regard, for one we will be able to discern with clarity what He has called us. There’s no no rigid structure or pattern one should follow, it could be a thirty minute uninterrupted stroll when you speak to Abba and most importantly listening to Him speak as well or it could be a longer time duration in another different situation or scenario.
