CHARACTER

We will be considering two variations of this wonderful word. The who and the what.

Who is a character?

A character is a person being involved in the action of a story. In this life, we are all characters – pencils in the hand of the Creator. Some people are the "protagonists" who will be SEEN and ACKNOWLEDGED; while others are the supporting characters. For instance, we don't hear so much about the disciples of John the Baptist but we hear a lot about John, the forerunner of Jesus Christ.

Some of our destinies are to be in the background, make way for the "protagonists" and cheer them backstage or even from the bleachers. A lot of us want to be in the limelight but we can't all be. God works in mysterious ways; His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. Isaiah 55:9

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

[11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Every person's role is relevant. You will never be able to find purpose outside the will of the MANUFACTURER. We are all called to live phenomenal lives. So rejoice!

Do you measure success by the world's standards? By how many followers you have or how much money you got stored up? Or by the standards of God Almighty. You should understand that not every person who is seemingly "successful" by the world's standards achieves the true purpose in God's plan for their own lives and their generations.

Romans 12:2 NIV

[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

No one knows the character more than the Playwright. Align to the will of the Father.

Also, character refer to the traits marking a person or group of people. Is your character a constant or a variable. A wise women said, Integrity is not complete until it is consistent. Does your character depend on certain circumstances or is it unwavering, resilient and stands the test of time?

Galatians 5:22-23 TPT

[22-23] But the fruit  produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:  joy that overflows,  peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue,  faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.  Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

The above is the standard. The word of God is yea and amen. It will not change because it is not convenient for you. As a believer, do you still think it is okay to keep malice? Do you still condone white lies or have certain "not so believer-like" friends? Are we moved by our feelings and ignore the nudging of the Spirit? Do we genuinely show love to the person next to us? Are we... Christians?

Do we look like Jesus in character, do we act like Jesus in character?
