Genesis chapter 1, verses 5,8,13, 19, 23, 31 have one thing in common - “And the evening and the morning were the — day.”

With every passing second, we’re drawing nearer to the end of the year and to another year, while this is a time to retrospectively analyze our year and pat ourselves and enjoy, celebrate, it’s also a time to prepare for tomorrow(the new year). There’s a reason the evening preceded the morning in the count of days in the scriptures above, don’t wait for the new year to start praying, planning or preparing, begin to pray today, there’s no better time than now, decree over tomorrow now, let your evening have you clearing the path for the morning. The countdown is at 11days & 12 nights, prepare for tomorrow.

I’m going to be real with you, being patient is hard. Whether it’s waiting for a text back, sitting in Lagos traffic, dealing with slow internet speed, or wondering when life will finally make sense, patience is one of those things we all wish we had but don’t enjoy developing. And yet, it’s a Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Meaning, it’s something God expects to grow in us, not something we magically wake up with. But how do you stay patient when everything around you screams, “Do it now! Get it now! Why are you waiting?!” Why Do We Even Need Patience? Patience isn’t just about sitting still and waiting, it’s about trusting God’s timing when things aren’t going our way. Think about Abraham. At times, we might feel that we weren't created to our taste.
