This and that…

Hello, How would you feel if you were accused of something heinous and your own family throws you under the bus and runs you over?? Obviously very terrible. Sometimes as believers, we’ll go through a school of rejection and how we handle it reflects our maturity in Christ.  “He’s still in control” may be the very last thing you want to hear, may sound cliché or it may even irritate you…but it is true. He is still in control. No matter what. He’s working in ways we cannot see. We all need to get to that level were we praise God from our hearts regardless of the situation we’re in. That’s a true act of worship.  Do you know that some persons risk their lives and freedom to fellowship together with the brethren in their lands? Why do they do it? Why do they risk it? They just love the lord so much. Some don’t even have access to the Bible the way we do, they don’t have the leisure of using any kind of translation.  I hope that these words stir up a new hunger and a bu...

JOY THAT LASTS

Image
Imagine you really need a certain amount of money and before the end of that day you receive an alert that will totally settle your bills at that moment. Your countenance will change right? Yh we can all agree to that😂. But do you know that, that mood won't last for too long when you get another Bigger challenge?     Happiness is a temporary feeling but Joy is permanent. Joy isn't based on if you get that dress of your dream/ money. Joy comes from within. It is simply the function of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian. They are absolutely two different things. Happiness is mostly found in pleasures of life but this Joy that last can only be found in Christ Jesus.   John.15.11 - These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.   Beloved, some people have tried different ways to get this Joy that lasts and it has only led them to the wrong things like addiction, wrong association, wrong rel...

They that wait…

”But those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I believe the version we’re all familiar with is ‘they that wait upon the Lord…’, waiting is difficult business quite frankly, the Hebrew word for waiting is quavah which, get this, means to plait, to intertwine.  I wonder how many times we’ve been in waiting seasons, how many times we’ve had to wait on God for something but today I’m here, not to tell you how your waiting period should look like or what you’re doing wrong, but to give an insight to what the concept is and hopefully, be able to give new perspective as to what we do when we’re in waiting periods henceforth.    Waiting is not passive, the entire idea of quavah unlike the normal understanding of waiting is to entwine ourselves with Yahweh like our anchor text te...

Text: Hosea 14:1-9.  We fell, we lost, we became desolate.  At that moment, no sane human would be in their right mind. For all the times we have stumbled because of our sins, the feeling of shame, guilt, self doubt, pain and a countless other variety of emotions overwhelm us, and we're left grasping at the spiritual straws of grace God has given us. Sometimes, some people stay in that area of grasping: begging for scraps from the Master's table. They do not see themselves as worthy to come any closer, for fear that they would be turned away.  But that's not what God wants, nor is it what He says. In Hosea 14:1, He says, "O (insert your name), return to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of our iniquity". [KJV]  Note that He doesn't ignore the sins, but He tells us that He wants us despite the fact that we have sinned.  We don't have to remain desolate. Isaiah 1:18. Come to Him, and He will restore you. He says He will heal our backsliding an...
