Hii Dearies Happy New Month🤭!! I bless God for bringing us into another beautiful season of overflowing Grace. If you don't see it coming I want you to just believe because there is power in it.
So quickly, I will like to share with us a short story. Something happened recently that really made me worried. I was going through a difficult time. I was suddenly overwhelmed with fear. It got me thinking really bad that I started having serious headache. I prayed and prayed against the spirit of fear, I started confessing positive words to myself. It worked but later on I was still back to my thinking.
You may ask why didn't the fear stop since I prayed about it?
Well my dearest, I thought so too but later on the Holy Spirit made me see that I didn't totally commit it to God. I prayed about it but yet I was sorting out for solutions to solve it myself. It was like me having a plan B.
When I finally realized, I was so solemn to the extent I couldn't even pray. I just said a silent prayer in my head 'Lord please help me' and I slept off. I woke up in the middle of the night to join an online prayer which had almost ended..I actually over slept. Afterwards I started scrolling through my Instagram and I stumbled on a video that really made me redirect my worry into thanksgiving. It was a short sermon video but it was as if the pastor was talking directly to me. He mentioned the exact thing I was going. I cried not only because of what he said but because normally I can scroll through my Instagram homepage and I will see other related stories but this time God used that video to catch my attention because my mind was even too filled up to hear anything God is saying. I was just so focused on the problem..my gaze shifted from God.
Let's look at Matt 14:22-32. You will see there that Peter was able to walk on water when he looked unto Jesus Christ but the moment he turned his gaze to the wind he started sinking. Each time we turn our gaze to whatever we are facing we have the tendency to sink in that problem and only Jesus Christ can bring us out the way he did for Peter.
One of the ways you can forget about the problem is through thanksgiving.
To give thanks even though it hasn't happened yet but it will eventually happen through Faith.
Just the way God had a reason why I had to visit Instagram and not any random app at that time was because he is intentional about me and so is he with you also because you are currently reading this broadcast. You could have just skipped clicking on the post or even stopped reading halfway but yet you are still reading to this very point.
I also want you to know that you being a Christian doesn't mean life will be a bed of roses for you. So what keeps you standing that makes you still see God for who he is despite what you are facing?. God knows our needs and wants, trust me. But we don't get to see his promises each time we are so overwhelmed by what we are facing. We pray to God to take care of that problem but yet we are looking for other alternatives to solve it ourselves.
This month I will love us to let Jesus take the wheel COMPLETELY! Emphasis on Completely please. Let him be the driver of our life. There can't be two drivers in a car..it will surely crash.
That challenge or problem you are passing through it will surely pass away...all you have to do is to turn your worries/ anxiety/ fear into THANKSGIVING . Start thanking God the way you will thank him when that problem is solved. Thank him in advance because you know that through Faith he will grant you your heart desires. God will strengthen you on this christian race and always know you are NEVER ALONE!
Thank you so much for reading to the end.
God Bless you!!❤️
