Friendly reminders
1. See with your faith
In the book of 2nd Chronicles chapter 20, King Jehoshaphat needed help desperately and he ran to the Lord and He heard him as well as his people. The Lord assured him, just as he’s constantly assuring us today through his word, that everything is in control. The major point I’m trying to pull out is the fact they offered praises and thanksgiving to the lord before their physical eyes saw the victory. How amazing! It wasn’t even an instruction from God. We can all learn something from this today, Don’t wait until after you get that job or something before you offer praises and thanksgiving to your Heavenly Father. Like the King Jehoshaphat and his people, see the victory that lies ahead.
2. Act
Imagine your earnest prayer point is for the lord to bless and prosper your business but when you offer a service, the customer is anything but satisfied. How exactly does it work? Or you’re asking the lord for success in an examination but you’re clearly exerting zero efforts. I’m not suggesting that after prayers, you should then proceed to do everything yourself but you have a role to play. Now is the time for self assessments, you may be getting frustrated that the Lord isn’t listening to you but have you played your role? What about that connection you really desire? What have you done after praying to the lord about it? Have you maybe put your work out there or something? The scenarios are endless honestly, just make sure you’ve prayed about it and you’re playing your role in it, may the good lord bless all your efforts.
But, what if the Lord tells you to hold it? That the battle is His? Then, proceed to cheerfully emulate King Jehoshaphat’s reaction.
With love,
MWJ🌸
