REJOICE!

The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice!!! Key verse: I Peter 1:6 KJV "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:" We humans are limited in our imagination, the response to the reign of God is Joy! The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands and coastlands be glad. Psalms 97:1 AMP If the Lord reigns over you then you ought to be joyful! The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice! You are not permitted to be depressed. Joy is not a function of circumstances, not a function of what people say about you but the revelation of the One(Person of God) reigning over you. Psalms 16:11 helps us to understand that in His presence there is fullness of joy! Joy is a state of confidence that God is taking care of you. When you don't know the Person of God, the devil will steal your joy. I know that sometimes nothing works out, it's either this or that, and it's quite exhausting, but Nehemiah 8:...

SEEK GOD!

We live in a world where people see God as someone they run to only when they need help and if that help eventually comes they totally ignore his commandments and live their lives according to their own desires, which shouldn't be. We should not pray to God just when we need something from Him, but because we seek to know Him more and have a full revelation of his being. This doesn't mean that we can't ask for anything; Matthew 7:7 tells us to ask and it shall be given unto us, to seek and we shall find, but in order to ask in line with God's plan for us we must first know who we are in him and ultimately know him. We cannot fully understand who we are in Christ if we don't intentionally seek God's face, and not just go to him when we need help. A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good. John 10:10 ERV Who is the thief the Bible makes mention of here? The devil! And to be able to escape the destruction of the ...

LEADER WITH VIRTUE

Text: Nehemiah 5:14-15  14). During all the twelve years that I was governor of the land of Judah, from the twentieth year that Artaxerxes was emperor until his thirty-second year, neither my relatives nor I ate the food I was entitled to have as governor . . 15). Every governor who had been in office before me had been a burden to the people and had demanded forty silver coins a day for food and wine. Even their servants had oppressed the people. But i acted differently, because I honored God. A leader is someone that directs. Virtue means behaviour showing right/ moral standard. A leader with Virtue is one who leads/direct with the fear of God by doing things which are right. From the Bible text, Nehemiah, who was a governor in Jerusalem was just and contented , he made sure people around him even his relatives did the things that pleased God. Nehemiah was really a leader with Virtue and that's who we (children of God) are meant to be. Whatever position you find yourself, whether...

FORGIVENESS (2)

Key verse: Ephesians 4:32 "Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ." CEV FORGIVENESS means to pardon; to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment, retribution, or compensation. We need to forgive, and trust me it isn't even easy, but God has given us the grace to forgive and forget. There's this song we sing in church: F: For the love we share O: Overcome temptation R: Rest upon the Lord G: Give up the fight I: In the book of love V: Very clearly written E: Even though it hurts N: Never revenge E: Express your love again S: Show your love again S: Show your love again! The Lord's prayer emphasized forgiveness: "… and forgive me my trespasses, as I forgive those who trespass against me." When you forgive others, you will be forgiven by God. It is a prerequisite from Heaven. "To err is human, to forgive is divine" Humans are susceptible to make mistakes everyday. That is why Jesus em...
