ANXIETY (2)

Key Verse: Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing, but by everything in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” Anxiety is the fear of the unknown. It is a feeling of worry, nervousness or uneasiness. It is the opposite of being relaxed  or at peace; fear of things that are not happening or about to happen, something about the future that you are not sure about. Worry actually doesn’t change anything; it prevents you from doing well. All you need is Jesus. You must know God through Jesus; all hope is not lost. If you do not want to suffer unnecessarily, choose your friends wisely. In Judges 14:5-18 , Delilah was in distress. It made her to live in fear. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our cares on God because He cares for us. Meanwhile, we are supposed to do something: faith and works. We are to study to show ourselves approved a workman that does not need to be ashamed rightly ...

WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN.🤍

Heaven? Do you believe in heaven? What comes to mind when you hear or think about heaven? Is it the presence of God? Is it a place? “Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8) For some reason being ‘at home with the Lord’ brings a certain level of peace and joy, unexplainable. John 14:1-7 tells me that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for you and I in heaven, isn’t that just joy??? Read 2 Corinthians 5:1-5, Philippians 3:20-21  “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.””Revelation‬ ‭14:13‬ ‭NIV I may not know much but this I know, heaven is amazing, it’s home, know this, we’re on earth temporarily, we go through troubles, trials, difficulty because this is not our home. We’re not home yet brethren. Be strong and of good courage, finish this fight of fa...

THIS THORN.

1st Corinthians. 12:7 (GOOD NEWS BIBLE) But to keep me from being puffed up with pride because of many wonderful things I saw, I was given a painful physical ailment, which acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being Proud.   _What Is a Thorn? A Thorn is something that pricks or annoy....... according to the dictionary I will explain Thorn as a persistent difficulty that would not go away. Today, we will use Paul as the subject matter. In our text,   _2 Corinthians 12:7, you’ll understand that Paul was prone to pride. Pride was his thorn. Whenever he talks, the Spirit of Pride takes over him. It was kind of hard for him to resist when the Spirit of Pride takes over. Therefore, he was given a " *painful* *physical* *ailment* " , to keep him from being Proud.  The point I'm trying to make here is that Paul's torment (HIS PHYSICAL AILMENT) made him find out his thorn (PRIDE). Sometimes, our thorns/torment might be sicknesses, diseases, etc......(you c...

THAT HOLD.

Most of the time, as Christians, we tend to drift. Our environment seems to draw us either closer or further from God. Most times, however, we usually drift further from Him. We get choked up with the things of this earth and our mind gets clouded with unneeded materials...*sigh*...everything just seems to go wrong at that point in your walk with God. But, there's always this...HOLD. That feeling that you belong somewhere but you're not there or the feeling whereby you're meant to feel full of some particular energy (you just can't explain it), but instead you feel like an empty sack two small children are trying desperately hard to blow air into.  That Hold, is the indication of a mark that God has given you. It verifies your Christianity, and seeks to pull you back to God to restore that broken connection. It's always there, at the back of your mind, etched on your heart. "Something's missing".  Now, most people (I'm included in this category) wi...

GOD I TRUST YOU BUT I’M TIRED.

There will definitely be times where it seems like nothing is going our way, everything seems tougher generally, some feelings of emptiness might creep in, everything seems to be against you, it might even feel like you’re alone, no friends, you don’t even want to talk about it.. I should know cos I’ve been there and not just once. In the early evening hours on Monday, I was going through so many things at the same time, I was going to break down if care was not taken, migraines, anxiety, stress, hunger, you name it.😂 I was talking to a friend and she was telling me stuff to make me feel better and I got a notification from my Bible app, ‘trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your path straight.’ Dearest reader, I can’t even explain it, I felt at peace, honestly in the midst of all this storm, there’s this peace that’s there, tap into it. I pray from the bottom of my heart that you find that peace...
