What do you desire?

"For we know that all things work together for good to them that love Him, and to them that are called according to His purpose". Rom. 8:28.  It is perfectly normal for us to want something. To desire something. And to desire that our desire is achieved.   It is also perfectly normal for some of those desires to not be achieved in our lives, and the event leaves us sad, broken, sometimes angry, many times frustrated.  Sometime ago, i encountered a situation in which i felt real fear. While this might not seem like a big deal (everyone gets scared once in while, you might think), i hadn't experienced fear in a while. I had gotten a grade in one of my subjects that i didn't want, and I was angry that all my efforts in vain. I was scared of losing out on the awards that came with passing the subjects. And so, i cried. I bawled. I yelled at God (yes, yes i yelled at Him), demanding to know why He would watch me burn the midnight oil, read extensively, study, and still l...

The Holy Spirit

Text: Jhn. 16:13[NLT] But when He, the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the Truth. He will not speak on His own and He will speak only what He hears, He will tell you what is yet to come. Who is the Holy Spirit? According to the bible text, The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit is the third Person in Trinity not because He's least in value but the reason is: He was the last to be revealed to us. Now, let's recall; Pen It Down was last week topic which points out that goals ought to be written down. The Spirit has a will for you. Therefore, make sure you ask Him what He's got for you then you  write it down and diligently work towards it with prayer and faith in addition. Jms. 2:20. To have the Holy Spirit, make Jesus your Lord over all things in life and obey His commandments written in the Bible......then watch yourself making God proud as His will is being accomplished in your life. See you at the top.

Pen it down.

They say it is foolish to do the same thing over and over again and still expect a different result. How have you been doing things over the years??  It would be wise to do things differently this year and one of the ways we can do that is by setting goals for ourselves.  Many persons actually go through this route but all they do is write them down at beginning of the year and not see it through and most importantly not pray about them. Proverbs 3:6 “In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path “. There, His word has said it all. The scariest thing is still remaining where you were especially if you’re the one holding yourself back. So; plan, acknowledge the lord and pray through it all. Shalom.

Lessons.

Hey family,  As a means of recap, here are a few lessons from the passing year that I asked for on my Instagram page and members of the MWJ family shared and I’d like to share them with you not to discourage but to strengthen you; For many of us 2022 wasn’t the best but it taught me to hold onto God, I learnt that my spiritual life won’t just skyrocket on its own and I have to be intentional about it, I learnt about my power as a Christian, I learnt that God is actually ALWAYS with me. 2022 showed me that I’m a product of grace, my life was a living testimony of ‘It’s not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God that showeth mercy.’ What I'm about to say is really deep for me but I Learnt it anyways 🤷‍♀️ . It goes thus: I have learnt that showing kindness to someone doesn't mean i should expect the person's kindness back to me because I realized that I will reap WHAT I'd sowed(whether good or bad) but must not be WHERE I'd sowed. When i saw this, it...

365/365

Hey blessed souls, It’s with so much ecstasy and joy in my heart that I write this love letter to you,  Firstly, today makes it a year since MWJ officially kicked off and I’m so excited to have had you on this ride and I hope your relationship with God has been growing too. Secondly, I’m so proud of you for making it this far because for you to be here, you made that choice to be more intentional with God and that’s amazing! Thirdly, MWJ would like to say a very big thank you to all of you who share the links, tell people to read and even unilaterally, spread the gospel of Christ without shame, don’t worry, the day is coming when we’ll meet our Father and He’d say ‘well done my good and faithful servant’ and it’ll make up for all we’ve been through our entire lives. “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Finally,  Merry Chr...
